MISSION STATEMENT EcoMalibu seeks to restore health to the natural Malibu Wetland ecosystem, as cited mainly in the 2001 UCLA Study, as well as numerous other studies, to demonstrate a healthy ecosystem in the heart of the Malibu community, and secure State of California Marine Sanctuary designation as a. Our challenges are two fold: 1) the current development on the wetland in the lower floodplain that impairs the natural system, and 2) plans for future development. |
|
VISION STATEMENT Nature's design and engineering department perfectly planned a system that naturally purifies the water and the land. EcoMalibu seeks to provide an educational center to communicate the importance of the wetland ecosystem in the heart of Malibu. This ecologically important system has been severly altered by ill-placed development as cited by a concensus of numerous scientists and studies. EcoMalibu sees a solution whereby humans co-exist with wildlife in a natural, Marine Sanctuary. |
